It would be something like this website:
Meanwhile, over at the House of Representatives we are getting an idea of what the newly promised era of change that Barry & the Dems are ushering in will be like.
Flash back to 1994 when the Dems lost control because of decades of corruption. In 1995 Newt Gingrich & the Republican majority made the following changes to ensure a more open lawmaking process: "
opening committee meetings to the public and media, making Congress actually subject to federal law, term limits for committee chairmen ending decades-long committee fiefdoms, truth in budgeting, elimination of the committee proxy vote, authorization of a House audit, specific requirements for blanket rules waivers, and guarantees to the then-Democrat minority party to offer amendments to pieces of legislation." (
Nancy Pelosi Screws America (Again)) Mis-Speaker of the House Pelosi is proposing changes to House Rules this week "
that would bar Republicans from offering alternative bills, amendments to Democrat bills or even the guarantee of open debate accessible by motions to recommit for any piece of legislation during the entire 111th Congress." If Pelosi gets her way we can say Bye-Bye to any openness in the US House.
Add to this return to the anything but the "thrilling days of yesteryear" the fact that the Chicago Machine is set to take over of the White House via Obama. Welcome to 2 years that will make the Daley Machine & Tammany Hall look like amateurs when it comes to corruption. (Things must be much worse than the Main Stream Media is willing to admit if Bill Richardson actually had to step down as the Commerce Secretary nominee. It seems to me with what I know about the scandal, that he should fit in an Obama administration perfectly.)
While I don't agree with
Tammy Bruce about a lot of things, she is right about what will happen on 20 Jan 2009. As she described it last week when subbing for
Laura Ingraham, it is: "The start of a new error."
All I can add is "Be Afraid, BE VERY AFRAID!!!!!"
