Where Is Batman When We Need Him?

Paisan, you & I have some common sense, Sadly, Blagojevich doesn't. But then I think you already know that.

Governor Blagojevich Still Won't Go
By Neil Cavuto

So Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich still is Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich.
He won't go.
He won't resign.
He can't be embarrassed out of a job or humiliated out of a job.
He's staying, because no bleepin' way he's quitting.
Oh, sure, rational folks there have this rational process through which they hope to remove this irrational guy.
But they're fit to be tied waiting to see if a judge finds the governor is mentally unfit to lead.
Judges take time to rule.
They're rational, after all. Just like legislatures, rationally deciding grounds for impeachment.
All part of a rational system... that takes a rational amount of time... even in dealing with an irrational fellow for whom, quite rationally he figures, there is plenty of time.
So they stew while he stays and the crazy guy is driving them crazy.
It's like that old "Batman" movie in which the Cape Crusader is desperately trying to get rid of a bomb.
He passes a mother with a carriage, then two nuns — even some small ducklings waddling in the water nearby.
No matter where he turned, there's nowhere to ditch the thing.
Finally, Batman shouts, "Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb."
He cared because he was rational — or trying to be.
The guy who planted that bomb — The Penguin, The Joker? I don't recall — well, he was irrational. He didn't.
It's crazy and crazy people know it.
In fact, they thrive on it and count on it. On doing things so crazy, so over the top, so certifiable, that they leave their far less crazy, not over the top, and not nearly so certifiable critics — certifiably stressed.
I like to think most people in this world are patient and kind, decent, and well, not crazy.
And that, my friends, is what the crazies count on.
