"Catholics In Name Only" Gather to Worship the Obamessiah

Representatives of 15 groups that help to define what it means to be Catholic in Name Only (CINO) met with President-elect Barack Obama’s transition team on 16 December in Washington.

Included in the list of usual suspects,aka the "(dis)honor role of dissenters", were Catholics United, Pax Christi USA, Network, the Maryknoll Office for Global Concerns, the Leadership Conference of Women Religious, Conference of Major Superiors of Men, the Jesuit Conference, School of the Americas Watch, Franciscan Action Network, Sisters of Mercy, Africa Faith and Justice Network, the Center of Concern, Catholic Scholars for Worker Justice and Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good.

The topics discussed: international development and trade, health care reform, immigration, domestic poverty and poverty reduction, and the environment. & while these issues do have a Catholic slant, I highly suspect what they said was more in line with the Democratic platform than the Catechism of the Catholic Church or the Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church.

I am sure you can already guess the topics carefully avoided: abortion, euthanasia, same-sex marriage, embryo research, family life, or any other issue directly involving the "culture of death". OH NO, we can't say anything that comes anywhere near authentic Catholic teaching as it would challenge Obama's stands on these issues. & we all know that for these CINOs when it comes to the choice of pleasing God or pleasing man, that God comes in a distant last.

In other words, this was a lovefest that provided these groups an opportunity to pledge their fealty to the false Messiah that they worship. The reaffirmed the deal whereby they have sold their souls to the Devil.

As Dad 29 said on the post that I found out about this in: "Barack, if you want the Catholic viewpoint, call up Benedict XVI. He's pretty good with English." I suspect that this was merely a rhetorical question as well all know that Obama doesn't want to go anywhere near the authentic Catholic viewpoint he would get from Papa Benedetto.
