Wait A Minute, Isn't Freer Access to Birth Control Supposed to Reduce Abortions?

At least that is what Planned Parenthood (PP) claims. That is a part of their arguement to promote their sex ed progrmas & shoot down abstinence education. Yet, a look at a recent study by PP's buddies at the Alan Guttmacher Institute & other studies shows a different result.
According to a LifeNews report, Wendy Wright, the head of Concerned Women for America, says that the new study released by the Alan Guttmacher Institute proves to her that the promotion of birth control and contraception don't reduce abortions. The report shows that young women who are in college or slightly older or younger obtain the highest number of abortions.
""The majority of women who are having abortions are those in their twenties," Wright told OneNewsNow. "These are college career women. These are not women who lack access to contraception or lack knowledge of contraception."" They are the group who has the easiest access to contraception and the most knowledge about birth control. According to abortion advocates that fact means that they should have the lowest number of abortions, not the highest.
& statistics from other countries back this up. In Sweden abortions went up 17 percent from 2000 to 2007. This is despite the fact that sales of the morning after pill increasing during the same time period. While not as dramatic, over the last 2 years, Scotland has seen a 3.8-4% annual increase in abortions. This is despite a push to increase the use of the Plan B drug. According to Dr. Joseph Stanford, associate professor of family and preventive medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine, studies from Europe, China and the United States show that the morning after pill does not reduce abortions.
Despite all this proof, abortion proponants keep calling for more use of birth control & the morning after pill. While a part of it is possibly the "my mind is made up, don't confuse me with facts" syndrome, I suspect the truth is different. The biggest proponants of greater access to birth control are those who profit the most from its failure, abortion providers like Planned Parenthood. PP knows they are lying, but they keep on doing so. The result, they make money providing the contraceptives & then even more on the abortions they perform after their failure. I can guarentee you that they will do all they can to spin the report in their favor.
My question is this: "Who screwed up at Guttmacher & didn't make sure they adjusted the stats like they normally do to support PP's claims?" Whoever it was has got to be in hot water about now, if not already looking for a new job.
New Study Shows More Contraception, Birth Control Don't Reduce Abortions
