This is Ethics????????? More Like Unethical & Unabashedly Evil

I heard about this on EWTN's The World Over of 19 Sept. 2008: Baroness Warnock: Dementia sufferers may have a 'duty to die' My 1st thought, disgust. My 2nd, here we go again with another prime example of how, thanks to the inroads made by the "culture of death" the once unthinkable has now become not only thinkable, but even speakable & welcome as well.
Exhibit A, this quote from her interview in the Church of Scotland's magazine Life and Work: "If you're demented, you're wasting people's lives – your family's lives – and you're wasting the resources of the National Health Service."
Exhibit B (from the same article): "I think that's the way the future will go, putting it rather brutally, you'd be licensing people to put others down." (like a budgie or an elder dog or cat!!!)
Exhibit C, the title of an article she wrote for a Norwegian magazine: A Duty to Die?
I could go on, but I will show more mercy than she ever would by stopping at 3 examples.
The Baroness is, sadly 1 of Britain's leading moral philosophers. & like Peter Singer here, she is a leading proponant of evil, unethical behavior. She is the British poster girl for the "culture of death". Singer is our high priest, she is their high priestess.
Fortunately, there are many voices speaking out against her stand. The call what she said such things as barbaric, immoral, irresponsible & callous. To that list I add evil.
She is 1 more reason why we MUST NOT grow lax in our efforts to build the "Culture of Life". We need to pray for people like Singer & the Baroness so that God's Spirit will convict them of their sinful positions & lead them to repentance. We need to speak out for what is right, what is truly moral, that all life has value. That humans have a greater worth & dignity than any animal ever will. That every human being deserves to be treated with dignity & respect, regardless of age, health or any other disability. Silence & inaction are not options for us.
