We ARE In the Midst of a Battle

It is, at its heart, a spiritual battle. But that doesn't mean we just sit back & pray. We need to take action. Sadly, way too many people are being silent, or are aiding & abetting the enemy.

Anyone who knows me knows that the specific battle I am refering to is that of abortion. Abortion is a part of the bigger war between good & evil that has been waging since Lucifer & the other angels fell. After Jesus' death on the Cross, good's ULTIMATE VICTORY was assured.

Right now we are in what would be considered the mop up period. Evil knows it will ultimately lose. But it refuses to go silently.

That is why you see so many attacks on the Church. I've blogged about some of them, desecrations, death threats, etc. They are sad, but to be expected.

So, what do we do?

We start with prayer. The Mass, the Rosary, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, St. Michael prayer, novenas, etc.

Then we speak up for life. We need to expose the truth about what evil is. We need to expose the works of darkness, esp abotion, to the light of truth. Remember that Jesus is "the truth". He is our light. So we need to lift up Jesus, proclaim the Gospel as a part of this shining light on evil.

We need to support & elect pro-life candidates. We need to support Pro-Life organizations. That includes groups that provide alternatives as well as those that fight to end abortions.

& we need to PRAY!!!!!

Everything needs to begin & end with prayer. Everything needs to be centered on Christ. What is important is not that He is on our side. Rather, the question needs to be, are we on His side? If we are, then we know that we are on the winning side.

Or we can be silent. We can ignore reality & pretend nothing is wrong. By doing so we then surrender to evil & enable it to keep winning. there is no neutral ground. We are a part of the battle. What side do you want to be on?
