O Antiphons

For the next 7 days as a part of Evening Prayer in the Latin Rite of the Catholic Church, the antiphon that is used for the recitation of the Magnificat is 1 of the 7 O Antiphons. Many people are more familiar with them as the verses of the song Veni, Veni Emmanuel (Oh Come, Oh Come Emmanuel). Each of the antiphons contains a Messianic title taken from the prophecies of Isaiah. Last year some student Dominicans from England made videos for each of the antiphons where they chanted them. For the next 7 days I will post these antiphons.
As an interesting aside, if you take the 1st letter of each title, beginning with the 1 for the 23rd & working your way back to the 17th the Latin phrase ero cras , meaning "Tomorrow, I will come", is formed. It is suspected that the Benedictine Monks intentionally ordered them that way so that those words were formed.
