The Run for the Roses is Over

Yesterday (16 December 2007) Dan Fogelberg, 1 of the leading soft rock artists of the 70s, passed away from prostate cancer. He was 56 years old. While he had several hits, (mostly his own compositions) including an excellent cover of Rhythm of the Rain, my all time favorite song of his was his salute to the Kentucky Derby horses that has sense become an unofficial theme for the race:
