T - 2 hrs & Counting

While there is still time (Rome EDST) for it to happen, in parts of the world it is already 8 Aug. So, it looks like the prediction of the collapse of the Roman Catholic Church I talked about in another post (It's the End of the Church As We Know It! ) isn't going to happen.

I checked out the entire website. & in addition to the misreading of Scripture, esp Revelation, there are so many other errors, mistruthes etc that have been proven to be so by people like Patrick Madrid. (Of course they claim that Patrick is wrong. & try to prove it.) Yet, they persist in spreading their half-truthes & lies about the Catholic (Roman & the 22 sui iuris Eastern) Church.

1 of my favorites is this use of a quote from Pope Paul VI:

Pope Paul VI commenting on the result of Second Vatican Council or Vatican II, which he has promulgated, . . . :Paul VI, Homily, June 29, 1972: "Satan's smoke has made its way into the Temple of God through some crack.

Are they claiming that Pope Paul VI admitted he made a mistake, or what? They use no logic in their attempts to prove thier points. They use a sede vacantist group & the National Catholic Reporter as sources. Obviously reliable sources of info on the Catholic Church! NOT!

This is the same old anti-Catholicism warmed over with a specific date. It will be interesting to see what they do in 2 hrs when it is no longer the 7th of Aug in Rome. (I'll even give them 3 hrs to allow for DST v Standard time.) But I feel fairly confident that when I get out of Mass this evening, Rome will still be standing as will the Catholic Church. The website will either be down or they will be working on their spin. It will be fun to see what they do next when their tissue of lies is what has collapsed, not the Catholic Church.
