It's the End of the Church As We Know It!

Guess what, anopther group is out there claiming that the Roman Catholic Church is the Whore of Babylon & doomed to be destroyed. This time they even have an exact date, 7 Aug 2007.

Church Ends Tomorrow at The Shrine of the Holy Whapping reports on a group who has predicted that the destruction of Babylon the Great found in Revelation 16-18.

In looking at what they sad, it was hard to keep a straight face as I read how far out of context found in any Fundamentalist interpretation of Revelation, let alone any Catholic interpretation, their interpretation is. & I guess that since they say Roman Catholic that the other sui iuris churches that make up the Catholic Church will survive. & given that each local diocese, Easteren & Western, is also the Catholic Church, it will take a lot more than the destruction of Rome to cause the collapse of the Catholic Church. & since the Pope is currently at Castel Gandolfo evn if a major disaster happened at Rome he probably would be safe.

I could go on & on shooting holes in their theories, but it is way too easy. Like shooting fish in a barrell.

It will be interesting to see how they handle things when they are proven wrong on the 8th.
