If You Build It. . . Sen. Brownback Will Come!

IS THIS HEAVEN? .... NO, IT'S IOWA!!!!! (IMHO: Mistaking Iowa for Heaven is definitely understandable. God made Iowa to give everyone a preview of what Heaven would be like.)

This morning Sen. Sam Brownback made an appearance at the Field of Dreams (Field of Dreams - Left & Center Field of Dreams, Field of Dreams Movie Site*) North of Dyersville, IA. The appearance was to give supporters a pre-Straw Poll chance to meet with him & have their picture taken with him. While he did informally answer a few questions there was no formal campaign speech. He took time to throw a few pitches, swing at a few & just greet his supporters.

It is hard to estimate the turnout as many of the people who were there were there as tourists visiting the movie site. But several of them turned out to be supporters (even if not from Iowa) anyway who were happy to have a chance to meet him.

(DISCLAIMER: In order to be above board, I have to acknowledge that I am a Brownback supporter & am looking forward to voting for him in the Straw Poll on Sat. However the only bias I allowed myself to show in this post is my honest opinion about the state of Iowa. But, I had to be honest about how great we are since it is a sin to lie. I will admit that the type of appearance made it easier to avoid any concerns about avoiding bias in my talking about it.)
