& I Didn't Even Have to do a Miracle

This is a picture of St. Allen Church in the Carrick district of Cornwall, Great Britian. It was founded about 1000 yrs ago & was originally a Catholic Church, but is now (unfortunately, thanks to Henry VIII) Anglican. It is the only St. Allen that I have been able to find with a spelling of the name the way I spell it.
Actually the Celtic saint's name was probably originally spelled Alunus, Alune or Allun. All I know about him is that in mediaeval times his feast was celebrated on 22 February (a happy coincidence as that is the same day as the birthday of my grandpa George Washington Troup.), but for several centuries it was celebrated on Rogation Sunday (the Sunday before the Feast of the Ascension) instead. It is once more being celebrated on 22 Feb.
(Note: The links below connect to all I have been able to find on this St. Allen. It would be nice if I could find out more about him. Over the years I have come across info on Blessed Alan de la Roche OP, sometimes he is called Alanus de Rupe, whose feast is 8 Sept. He had a deep devotion to Mary & the Rosary. & St. Louis de Montfort refers to him in his writings on Marian devotion. I have seen a feast for an Allen on 12 Jan but have no other information. There have been a couple other dates for a St/Blessed Alan, various spellings, on a couple other dates. Again no info.)
