Meet the 20th & 21th Century disciples of King Herod
1927 - Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr., wrote decision in
Buck v. Bell, a 1927 Supreme court case upholding a Virginia law that authorized the state to surgically sterilize certain “mental defectives” without their consent.
1965 - Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, 1 of the largest providers of birth control & abortion.
1973 - Justice Harry Blackmun, wrote the decisions for Roe v Wade & Doe v Bolton that made abortion legal in the USA.
2003 - Barak Obama who voted against the Born Alive Act three times while in the Illinois state Senate. 1 of the few times he actually went on record as being for or against anything.
Today - Peter Singer, Australian philosopher teaching at Princeton whose utilitarian version of ethics justifies killing a person after birth. He says that the notion of the sanctity of life ought to be discarded as outdated, unscientific & irrelevant to understanding problems in contemporary bioethics.
Herod killed anyone who he felt got in the way of what was best for himself, especially to stay in power, young or old, family or not. What he did was pure evil. He promoted his own "culture of death". Yet what he did pails in comparison to these people have done to build a modern day " culture of death".
