ObamaSpeak On the Supreme Court - Orwell's Newspeak Is Here

Only in the mind of Obama & his minions would the Supreme Court upholding the Constitution & overturning ObamaCare be defined as "judicial activism". I kid you not.
Speaking at a joint news conference at the White House with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper &  Mexican President Felipe Calderon Obama had to following to say about what the Supreme Court should do, “We are confident that this will be upheld because it should be upheld." Nothing about it behind upheld because it is Constitutional, just because he said it should. Once again we are seeing Obama place himself & his administration above the Constitution. That sound you hear is the latest shredding of it
But it gets better (worse). He went on to say that overturning the law would be “an unprecedented, extraordinary step” since it was passed by a majority of members in the House & Senate. He added “I just remind conservative commentators that for years we’ve heard that the biggest problem is judicial activism or a lack of judicial restraint. That a group of people would somehow overturn a duly constituted and passed law. Well, this is a good example. And I’m pretty confident that this court will recognize that and not take that step.”
Remember, this is the same gang that has used judicial activism for decades to undermine the Constitution & the will of the people. They have never cared about a law being "duly constituted & passed" if it went against their agenda. Then they fought tooth & nail to overturn laws that were constitutional. But now, when faced with the possibility that the courts will do the right thing they try & paint them as the activists & bad guys. 
The preemtive attack on the Supreme Court is intentional. As the Dems always do they are painting their enemies as the villians, demonizing them. So if the Court does uphold ObamaCare the Dems can claim victory. & if they lose, it was the evil Supreme Court who did it.
Finally he did get arround to saying it is Constitutional, but wait until you read the reason. He said “In accordance with precedent out there, it’s constitutional.” Precident, not the Constitution. If he wants to speak of precident, there are plenty of examples where what he would describe as "duly constituted and passed laws" have been overturned by the Supreme Court because they were unconstitutional. The income tax is one of them. That is why the 16th Amendment had to be passed. (I won't go into why it should be repealed here.)
Or how about the law passed in 1970 lowering the voting age to 18 for not only Federal but state & local elections. The Supreme Court rightly reminded Congress & the President that the 9th & 10th Amendments prevented Congress from treading on state's rights by forcing them to lower the age for state & local elections. (Interestingly enough, Nixon signed the law despite claiming he had some misgivings about its constitutionality. He did so only because it was attached to the extention of The Voting Rights Act of 1965) Thus we now have the 26th Amendment which was the only Constitutional way to override the states.
I am the 1st to admit that the Supreme Court doesn't always do the right thing. Roe v Wade/Doe v Bolton is a prime example of the Court ignoring the guarentee of the Constitution to protect every life, born or unborn because they are human beings.
Dred Scott is another example. It basicly ignored the fact that in many states blacks were citizens as well as saying that slaves were merely property, not human beings.
In this case, ObamCare & many of its mandates are unconstitutional. The Court has no other choice than to rule it unconstitutional as a part of its Constitutional role to be a check & balance.
Given how Obama has done so much to shred the Constitution as well as the Declaration of Independence, this whole spiel is pure posturing on his part to make it appear that he does respect the Constitution. Orwell's Minitrue would be proud of him.
