This video from KWWL is just a promo but it does give a bit of an idea of the downpour of Biblical proportions that hit DBQ starting Wednesday nite.
Depending on where you were in the area the rainfall ranged from 10.74 inches (official, set a 24 hr record) to 15.1 inches. There are some records you hope never are broken. Given the results, the 24 hour record is 1 of them.
The damage ranged from flooded basements to a couple of fires. Some parts of the Tri-state area had to be evacuated. The governor has declared DBQ a disaster area.
Local law enforcement & fire departments all did their best given everything they had to deal with, now comes the cleanup.
For those who may be wondering, no I didn't suffer any damage as where I live is fairly high.
But what is more important, please keep those who are suffering as a result of this natural disaster in your prayers.
