She's Not Quite a Saint Yet. . .

but Mother Angelica has made an appearance on a stained glass window. In this case for a very good reason as well. The window is 1 of the stained glass windows that will be in the Our Lady of Solitude Chapel at the Our Lady of Solitude Monastery in Arizona. A full explanation of the window is found below it, but the reason Mother Angelica is included is simple. Our Lady of Solitude is a daughter foundation of Our Lady of the Angels Monastery in Hanceville, AL, the monastery that Mother Angelica helped found.
Now I am not simply putting this up so that you can see how beautiful the window is, even though it is. I am putting this up to put in a plug for them. Our Lady of Solitude is just getting off the ground. They came to the Phoenix at the invitation of Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted & with official permission from the Holy See. In May of 2005 5 of the Nuns moved from Hanceville to the Black Canyon City area. You can read more of the story at the website. However, I will add that they have already started to grow as Sister Jeanette Marie of the Precious Blood of Jesus began her postulancy on 11 Aug 2006.
Obviously since they are a new foundation they need to build everything from scratch. & all of that takes money. They have erected 2 residential buildings as well as started work on the chapel. There are many different ways that you can help with the costs of building the chapel & other parts of the monastery as well help with their living & insurance expenses.
As Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration their main apostalate is Eucharistic adoration in a Cloistered Community of Contemplative Nuns. These nuns are loyal to the Pope & magesterial teachings of the Catholic Church. & they are serving the Church in the important role of intercessors. In this day & age, this is something we sorely need & God is clearly providing for. But we must do our part & support these orders that are faithful. They are the future of our Religious orders.

It "Will be located in the cloister Mass chapel. A unique design that includes a large figure of St. Clare with an outstretched mantle over her spiritual daughters. From left to right we can trace the history of our PCPA foundation: Mother Marie of St. Clare (PCPA Foundress), Servant of God Mother Mary of the Cross Morawska (took the PCPA's from France to Poland), Mother Agnes (Brought the PCPA's to the USA in the 20's), and finally our very own Mother Mary Angelica (Foundress of Our Lady of the Angels Monastery in Alabama - our Founding Monastery)."
