IMHO - The National Catholic Reporter Should Change It's Motto

& while they are at it their name. They are about as authenticly Catholic as Madonna Ciccone is a virgin. I won't go into a lot of detail here as I have commented on the writings of several of their darlings such as Joanie (Satan's Blueberry Muffin) Chittister, Richard (Never met a heresy he didn't like) McBrien & Bishop Thomas BubbleGum-bleton. These 3 alone have done almost as much damage to the faith as 2000 years of various heresies combined. The NonCR is never happy when they don't get their way with the Vatican, which should be no surprize as their agenda is as anti-Catholic as they come. So, it was no surprize to see a couple articles critical about Archbishop Burke being named a cardinal. After reading those rantings about Archbishop Burke getting the red hat, I have come to the conclusion that their new motto should be:

The Official Newspaper of the Antichrist

1 of those who was ranting in the NonCR is Michael Sean Winters. In his column on the latest batch of cardinals he lamented Papa Benedetto's failure to name any women religious or lay people to the Sacred College. Yes, he is serious. I won't go into how delusional he is to think that that would happen except to say does he really think Papa Benedetto would ever do such a thing? Or that we don't see his suggestion for what it is, a backdoor attempt at pushing through women's ordination? I will simply remind him that every person who was ever appointed cardinal had at least received minor orders at the time & thus was not a lay person. & thus also had to be male.
However, since he did bring up the subject, & since some cardinals are given the title to honor their service to the Church I will make a purely theoretical suggestion for the 1st female cardinal, Mother Angelica. & while we are at it how about Joanna Bogle? She is both a lay person & female. That should make the gang at the NonCR happy. (evil laugh!)
