Actually Archbishop Niederauer Should Have Been Given This Award

He is her Bishop. He is the 1 that has failed to correct Nancy Pelosi as he should have. & as a result of failing to do more than talk, he gave her his OK to ignore Catholic teaching & thus expand abortion in the USA.
Last night Nancy Pelosi was honored by Planned Parenthood. She received the Champion for Women's Health award. It recognizes her "efforts to support women and their reproductive health."
In their statement announcing those to be recognized, PP said the following about Pelosi: "As the first female Speaker of the House, Rep. Nancy Pelosi was instrumental in the passage of the historic health care reform legislation. During the health care reform debate she led her female colleagues in Congress as they stood strong against attempts to insert the Stupak abortion ban into the bill. Against tremendous odds, she delivered the necessary 219 votes to send the bill to President Obama’s desk."
In short, she is being lauded for ensuring that ObamaCare DID cover abortion.
& to go back to what i said at the start, Archbishop Niederauer should be sharing in this reward for his failure to do nothing more than talk. Yes he spoke out & said she was wrong when she called her position on abortion a mere "difference of opinion". But what else did he do after that. Did he publicly or even privately admonish her? His failure to do what shopuld have been done makes him as much to blame as Pelosi for what we ended up with in ObamaCare.
I'd like to have Archbishop Niederauer stand before a panel of judges that included Ss. Thomas à Becket, John Fisher, Thomas More & Pope Gregory VII among others & have him explain why he failed to do what he should, up to & including excommunicating her. I highly suspect they would buy his excuses in any way shape or form.
___________
In writing this I read the entire PP News release. It turned my stomach. Talking about those getting the award the release said they "stood up for women’s health and in doing so, made America healthier, stronger and more productive." With all the caveats already popping up healthier is questionable at best. Weaker is more accurate since abortion kills off our greatest strength as well as the source for future productivity, the unborn. & that is only 1 quote. It is quite clear throughout the news release that this is all about enabling PP to make more money off of the murder of unborn, not about providing health care for those that need it.
