Planned Parenthood Calls Obama's Promise to Stupak Just "a symbolic gesture"

From the statement issued by PP after the House passed the Health Care Bill:

"Planned Parenthood applauds the fact that this legislation would extend health care coverage, including family planning, to tens of millions of women and families, guarantee access to affordable life-saving screenings for cervical and breast cancer and other serious health problems, protect women against gender discrimination by private insurers, end the practice of dropping coverage because of pre-existing conditions, and significantly increase access to reproductive health care. The proposal also includes a commonsense provision to expand family planning under Medicaid, which would significantly increase access to essential preventive health care for millions of women." (emphasis mine)

So much for any promises by Obama. My tax money will be going to pay for more birth control pills that ARE an abortafaecent as well as more abortions which is what PP considers reproductive health care. If it didn't increase access to these things then why would PP be applauding it & saying "despite a symbolic gesture, in the form of an Executive Order, to anti-choice Congressman Bart Stupak (D-MI) ". Symbolic implies there are absolutely no teeth in the executive order to do what Obama claims it will.

"So while we regret that this proposed Executive Order has given the imprimatur of the president to Senator Nelson’s language, it is critically important to note that it does not include the Stupak abortion ban." Note that it is only proposed. & even if it is signed by Obama he knows full well that the law supercedes an executive order. That the courts will say that the executive order undermines they law. & that he will find a judge who will do just that.

If this DIDN"T result in more of our tax money for PP as well as increasing access to abortion with that money do you really think PP would be applauding this bill being passed? Of course not. This bill gives PP & the entire abortion industry exactly what it wants. At the cost of our lose of freedom & the lives of untold unborn children.
