They above picture looks like a simple centerpiece, until you realize what was used to make it. The blue & white pieces clued to the flower petals are birth control pills. As the Wednesday Stop Planned Parenthood report puts it "those lovely pills that turn the fertile soil of womanhood into barren deserts and
snuff out the lives of untold innocents were arranged as flower bouquets.
& based on their shape, I suspect that the bow was made from condoms.
Planned Parenthood in Portland, Oregon held a “celebration of Margaret Sanger” inside the shell of its new abortion center on Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., which is still under construction.
Pro-Life Action of Oregon, an American Life League associate group, reports that PP Columbia Willamette honors major donors by naming them members of the Margaret Sanger Society – a fitting tribute, since Margaret Sanger was a eugenicist who once wrote in her Women and the New Race, “The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.”
Meanwhile in the same STOPP Report there is some good news from Schaumburg, IL. The Planned Parenthood express facility will be closing January 14, 2010, after six years in business. While it doesn't do surgical abortions on site, it does provide referals as well as "emergency contraception" that can do chemical abortions. So there will be 1 less place that will be sending the unborn to their deaths.
According to a recorded message “Closing this facility was a difficult decision, but one we had to make to ensure we are able to serve the needs of all patients in the Chicagoland area.”
So they are having a "going out of business sale". The facility is offering a buy-one, get-one-free deal on birth control pills, emergency contraception, the NuvaRing, the patch & condoms. Given that PP has a 300% mark-up on its contraceptives, the affiliate still stands to reap a hefty profit for Planned Parenthood of Illinois from its two-for-one sale. & it is even doing its best to insure they keep a hold on their unsuspecting victims by offering former Schaumburg patients a $10 off visit at another PP facility good from 15 January 2010 t0 31 December 2010.
As I have said before, PP isn't about providing medical services, it is about making money. They will give support to a new location at the start. But when a facility doesn't take off or go on making its own way, they lop it off. & call it ensuring that they are able to better serve their patients. These 2 stories just add evidence to confirm that fact.
_______________
(6 Dec 2009, 3:34 am) Note: Corrected 1 fact. Originally desribed it as a 400% mark-up. It is actually 300%. To explain; if it cost $1, a 100% mark up would have it sell @ $2, a 200% mark-up is a $3 price tag & a 300% mark-up = $4 price tag. So if PP originally sold an item for $4 & is now selling them 2 for $4 they are still making $2 on every sale.
