USCCB Health Care Flier

This morning the USCCB asked that an insert about health care reform be distibuted at every parish in the US today. (USCCB Nationwide Bulletin Insert) They were also asked to make an announcement 7 include a petition in the Prayers of the Faithful.

I went to Mass at the Church of the Nativity in DBQ, they mentioned abortion twice in the prayers of the faithful. 1st in a prayer that called it a form of child abuse & then in a prayer like that recommended from the USCCB.

After Communion the pastor, Fr. Thoman read the 1st part of the insert, said it was in the bulletins & called on everyone to read it in its entirety & made special mention of the website to contact our House & Senate reps.

Will be interested to hear how many other DBQ area parishes did so. I know of several that I am sure did, but can think of a couple that probably wouldn't.
