FOX Fights Back

After the recent attacks by White House communications director Anita Dunn, FoxNews on air personalitiues have begun to fight back.

1st up is this gem from Neil Cavuto. Monday OK, it has been a while since I have put anything up by my paisan, Neil Cavuto. I admit, I have been lax. But that aside, as I said, here is the truth fair & balanced, not the Obama slant being spewed by the Main Stream Media:

Next up, Britt Hume. In his "Brit Hume Commentary" segment on Fox News Channel's 12 October edition of "Special Report with Bret Baier" also takes on some of those attacks.

& while I am sure some in the MSM are cheering this on, even there some cooler heads are realizing how this just might have a downside:

Speaking with political analyst John Dickerson on Monday’s CBS Early Show, co-host Harry Smith asked about the latest Obama administration attack on Fox News: “Anita Dunn, the communications director for the White House, pushed back against Fox. This is the first time that we’ve seen somebody really come out, out loud and say what she had to say....Now there seems to be a full frontal assault.”
Dickerson replied by describing the White House mud slinging as a win-win: “..the White House website where they talked about the ‘lies of Fox News,’ which is stronger language than you usually hear. This is kind of good for both sides. Fox News sees its viewers – viewership increase, the White House has an enemy. It can galvanize its liberal supporters by attacking Fox News. That’s something that gets cheers in those quarters.”
However, he did follow up by warning of a potential downside: “The problem for the White House, of course, is that it can look a little petty and a little small as it sort of takes it sort of punches down at a cable network. And so they have to make sure that if they’re going to take on Fox News, that they don’t seem overly obsessed by it.” (CBS’s Smith Touts White House ‘Full Frontal Assault’ on Fox News)

OK, it may galvanize some of those on the left. But for the most part it continues to feed into the delusion by the MSM & Obama's supporters that the MSM is not biased. But for most people, it is just proving the MSM is in bed with Obama & is giving Fox a boost. It is not a win-win situation for the most part, it is a Fox wins, Obama loses.

Another sign that things are slipping & the truth is getting out is an admission made by Juan Williams on Monday's O'Reilly: "The Left can be intollerant." For those who don't know about him, Juan is anything but conservative. He is also not a token liberal on the network. But he is liberal. & he has just gotten himself in hot water for letting out their dirty little secret about who is really intollerent & it isn't just some of those on the right. Actually I think Williams let the left off lightly. He failed to mention how the Left has made intollerance into an art.
