A month ago I posted about Planned Parenthood's attempt to open a clinic near a school in Pasco, WA. (
The Story of Another Planned Parenthood Victim) The clinic would be located on West Court Street next to Mark Twain Elementary School. After several months of delay, the vote finally came up for a vote at the Pasco Planning Commission meeting. The final vote was 3-2 to recommend to the Pasco City Council that it deny the permit. This was in spite of a favorable recommendation by the Planning Commission staff.
The battle is not over yet as PP has announced they will appeal the decision to the Pasco City Council. But PP has been dealt a set back. & they know they aren't welcome in Pasco. The earliest it could come before the city council is 5 October 2009, but it may be at least November before anything is acted on.
An interesting fact that was mentioned on the Protect Our Pasco blog is that PP recently offered to place a 6-ft high brick wall separating the clinic (where abortions could potentially be performed) from the elementary school. IMHO that offer was merely PR to try & mute the opposition. PP wants to be near schools to help spread their poison. But for now, they have been given a major setback.
May God continue to bless the efforts of those fighting to keep PP out of Pasco. Pray that God will touch the hearts of the Council members so that they will uphold the Commissions decision.

This is great news! I hope that Planned Parenthood disintegrates before our eyes.
