Here are the news releases about an event that is going on today from the 2 organizations involved. If you were hurt by abortion, & have found healing, please show up at the nearest 40 Days site & let PP know the truth. I would like to suggest that if you are 1 of those who have been hurt by abortion & are not near a Planned Parenthood where 40 Days is holding a campaign but are near a PP facility, or any abortion clinic, where there are people praying today you still might want to show up with your "I regret my abortion" or "I regret lost fatherhood" sign. & even if there aren't people praying at your local PP/abortion clinic today, you might want to get a few friends together & show up & pray for a couple of hours anyway.

WASHINGTON, Mar. 5 /
Christian Newswire/ -- "We are highly encouraged that the
Silent No More Awareness Campaign is urging women and men who have found healing in the wake of abortion to stand witness in front of abortion facilities on March 10 in connection with 40 Days for Life," said Shawn Carney, spring campaign director for 40 Days for Life. "The message of post-abortion healing plays an important role in the dismantling of the abortion culture and the construction of a new culture of life."
Women who are involved with the Silent No More Awareness Campaign will be carrying signs that read, "I regret my abortion," and men will be holding signs with the message, "I regret lost fatherhood."
The date March 10 was chosen because this is the date that the abortion industry has marked as Abortion Provider Appreciation Day. "That concept flies in the face of the destruction we know abortion causes," said Carney, "not just for the baby whose life is taken, but for the mother, the father -- and many others including extended family and friends. It is our fervent hope that women with abortion appointments on March 10 will see the silent, prayerful witness of others who have walked in their shoes, and avoid making a tragic decision that could haunt them physically, psychologically and spiritually for years and years to come."
This outreach is the product of an effort that took place in Charlotte, North Carolina, where two of the local 40 Days for Life campaign leaders are also regional coordinators for the Silent No More Awareness Campaign. One day of last fall's 40 Days for Life vigil was set aside as Silent No More Day, where women and men with abortion experiences were asked to bring their signs and join volunteers for prayer outside the Charlotte abortion facility where the vigil was being held.
According to these local coordinators, the message of "I regret my abortion," displayed during the peaceful vigil, helps demonstrate that there are women and men in our own communities who have been devastated by abortion -- and the devastation is continuing today inside the clinics.
"We have already seen evidence that the 40 Days for Life concept of prayerful vigil leads people with abortion experiences to seek healing," said Carney. "This partnership will strengthen that message and hopefully bring others to reconciliation." The local leaders in Charlotte see post-abortion healing as "one of the most important mission fields today."
40 Days for Life is an intensive 40-day program of prayer and fasting, community outreach, and constant vigil outside abortion facilities, Planned Parenthood offices and other public locations. The 130+ communities in the United States, Canada, Australia and Northern Ireland taking part in these simultaneous campaigns are listed online at http://40daysforlife.com/location.cfm. _________________

March 5, 2009
Staten Island, NY – The Silent No More Awareness Campaign (SNMAC), the world’s largest network of women and men harmed by abortion, will join the 40 Days for Life campaign on March 10 to testify to the physical and emotional damage wrought by the abortion industry.
“We will stand with those in the 40 Days for Life vigils outside abortion businesses to let women know that abortion doesn’t end a problem, it creates a lifetime of new ones,” said Janet Morana, co-founder of SNMAC. “We will bear witness that the abortionist’s tools don’t just attack an unborn child’s body, they attack a woman’s soul.”
The 40 Days for Life campaign participants are currently fasting and praying, keeping vigil outside abortion clinics and Planned Parenthood offices, and engaging in outreach to 130 communities until April 5 with the goal of ending abortion. The 40 Days campaign has designated March 10 as Silent No More Awareness Day. The Silent No More Awareness Campaign holds regular gatherings throughout the year in cities worldwide.
“The abortion industry says that March 10 is ‘Thank Your Abortion Provider Day,’” added Georgette Forney, another co-founder of SNMAC, “which has to be the worst idea since Planned Parenthood offered Christmas gift certificates for abortion. We will reclaim that day by sending a different message to our abortion providers – stop the lies, put down your killing tools, and seek forgiveness.”
Since the launching of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign in 2003, 2,809 women and men have shared their testimonies publicly at over 348 gatherings in 44 states and seven countries where more than 43,000 spectators have heard the truth about abortion’s negative aftereffects. More than 6,100 people are registered to be Silent No More. Raising awareness about the hurtful aftermath of abortion and the help that is available to cope with the pain are two of the Campaign’s goals.
The Silent No More Awareness Campaign is a joint project of Anglicans for Life and Priests for Life. For more information, please visit our website:
