March for Life 2009

The 36th annual March for Life in DC is approaching. The 1st March was held 22 January 2004 on the 1st Anniversary of the Supreme Court decisions Roe v Wade & Doe v Bolton. It was held on the West Steps of the Capitol. An estimated 20,000 committed prolife Americans rallied that day on behalf of our preborn brothers and sisters. Since then it has grown to have about 200,000 participants in recent years.

This year's theme is "REMEMBER, the Life Principles mean "Equal Care" with No Exceptions!" The theme was chosen "in order to focus on the compelling need to overcome abortion evil flowing from our Supreme Court’s January 22, 1973 illicit Roe v. Wade opinion and also from the Court’s April 18, 2007 illicit Gonzales opinion which approved of Roe v. Wade evil in gruesome detail. Therefore, we shall describe our Nation’s abortion problem, and then explain how to use our well-established Life Principles to overcome Roe v. Wade evils. No Exception! No Compromise!"

While the Main Stream Media (MSM) gives less attention to the March than it does to other smaller Marches that are aligned with their agenda, I suspect that this year the little coverage they give it will be slanted to present things in the worst possible light. Why do I say this? With the most pro-abortion president in history being sworn in they will do all they can to make it sound like the Pro-Life movement is dying out. But to paraphrase Mark Twain: Reports of the Pro-Life Movement dying are a blatant lie!!!! With the super huge turnout for Obama's coronation as the (false) Messiah there is a need for us to show even more clearly that we will not surrender or go away.

Even if this should have the largest turnout ever, I am sure the MSM won't admit that fact. Fortunately we don't have to depend on the MSM . EWTN will be offering complete live coverage of both the Walk for Life West Coast & this March. It will be up to those who are there to get the message out.

I will not be able to attend, but I urge anyone who can to go to the website & get the information you need to attend. There will also be many local events during the time arround 22 January. Check out with you local Pro-Life organization for the nearest event. & if you can, attend it.
