Shameless Begging for Money for DBQ Co Right to Life

Last week I got the Dec 2008 issue of the DBQ Co Right to Life newsletter, Life Is For Everyone TIME. In it they talked about 3 things the group needed. 1 is places to send speakers, the 2nd was volunteers & the 3rd was money.

DCRTL has only 2 paid employees. Otherwise, they depend a lot on volunteers. But, they still have plenty of other expenses. & with the unfortunate opening of a Planned Parenthood facility in DBQ, their expenses have increased. Why? They are distributing more materials like bumper stickers, yard signs* & educational pamphlets. 1 big expense is the monthly newsletter. Then there are the costs to operate the office, electricity, heat, phone, etc. & that is only a part of what they do.

So, as you have already figured out (unless you ignored the title blurb), this is a shameless plug where I beg for you to donate to a VERY worthy cause. Below is a copy of their membership form. It can be used to join or just give a donation (check other). Please consider joining, or at least sending them the largest donation you can afford. They also accept memorials. (With gifts of $250 or greater, their name is engraved on our memorial plaque which is displayed in their office.)

* The signs are getting a few people upset because their children are asking questions about PP they don't want to face up to or answer. I wonder how many of these same people are as concerned over what their children watch on TV? Probably very few.
