2 More Prayer Campaigns

I just got done posting the info on 2 more prayer campaigns. The 1 being promoted by Intercessors for America is a 40 days of prayer & repentance campaign for the upcoming election. The 2nd is a campaign by Human Life International to pray for the conversion of abortionists. Add this to the already announced Fall 2008 40 Days for Life prayer campaign before abortion clinics & Priests for Life's call to pray for the upcoming election. & then there is the US Conference of Catholic Bishops Faithful Citizenship Tuesday Novena for the election. It is clear that at least a portion of the Body of Christ is taking the fact that we are in a spiritual battle seriously. & the call to pray & repentance has been issued.

Now the question is this: How many of us have already begun to seriously pray for the upcoming elections? & if you haven't, why not? How much longer will you delay?

I don't have to repeat in detail my belief in the importance of prayer as the foundation, begining & end of all we do in our efforts to build the "Culture of Life" that we are called by God to do. If we are to go through a period of chastisement to cleanse us of the stains of the "culture of death" as I suspect we are on the verge of, then we need to be ready. Pray does that.

God wants to work through us. He can only do that to the extent we have turned away from sin & towards Him. We must repent of our sins & of the sins of our nation. I plan to go into this in more detail in a post I am working on.

The Body of Christ is being presented with a clarion call to action. The Holy Spirit has spoken & is speaking. Some have responded, fully or partially, some still are ignoring the call. The time is short & will soon pass. We cannot afford to ignore the call that the Lord has issued to His body. Untold lives & souls depend on us saying yes.
