There is More to This Than Meets The Eye

A bit of a firestorm has broken out over the Papal Mass on Thursday. Many pro-abortion Catholics will be at the Mass. I suspect that some will attempt to play on the Pope's ignorance of who they are & if able, receive Communion from the Pope if possible, just to create an embarrassment to the Pope & Pro-Lifers here in the USA.

& I highly suspect some people within the USCCB want it as well. Why? Because those people are just as Pro-abortion as the politicians & want to destroy the Church any way they can.

OK, now for the rest of the story. & why I suspect what I do.

On 14 April American Life League released a statement calling on Pro-abort Catholics to do the right thing & refrain from causing scandal by receiving Communion at the Papal Mass on Thursday (ALL To Pro-Abortion Catholics: Do not Sacrilegiously Exploit the Eucharist)

"Pro-abortion Catholics, who are not really Catholics at all, are opportunists of the worse sort. It would not surprise us at all if they seek to validate their position by exploiting the Holy Father's visit by receiving Holy Communion from the pope," said Judie Brown, president of American Life League. "Such public figures as well as organizations like Catholics for a Free Choice have been scandalizing Catholics for years by publicly flaunting their radical, pro-abortion position while receiving communion. This is a sacrilege which we pray will not occur during the Holy Father's Mass."

ALL also published a full-paged ad (here) showing the Pro-abort Catholic members of Congress in the Washington Times. It asked the Pope to not give them Communion. They put pictures of the 21 worst of the worst. The set of pictures looks like it could grace a post office most wanted board. & deservedly so.

According to a Politico article (Pope's visit renews abortion debate ): Sister Mary Ann Walsh, spokeswoman for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, said she knows of no plan to deny Communion to particular lawmakers Thursday.
“You presume that everyone there knows the rules of the church and follows them,” she said. “No one is policing that. People go to church and people go to Communion if they feel in their heart they are prepared to receive Communion.”

Sorry Sister, but you're whole statement strikes me as too much of a cop out. A formal statement could have been issued by the USCCB if you really wanted to see that things done right. In fact Sister, you are aiding & abetting in the causing of grave sin, a grave sin in itself.

I hate to judge, but we can judge fruit. & the fruit of her words & the actions it will allow is rotten to the core, plain & simple. IT STINKS!!!!!

Michael Hichborn, ALL’s media director, gave the following statement: “What we expect is that there will be pro-abortion Catholics who are going to try to receive Communion when the pope holds Mass,” he said. “We’re also hoping that his advisers have fully briefed him on those politicians who may attempt to receive Communion. I don’t know how well-prepared he’ll be.”

I have to wonder if his advisors were honestly & fully briefed by the USSCB staffers who's job it would be to give the Papal advisors the info they need to be able to adequately brief the Pope. I strongly suspect they weren't.

Given that, while he was just a cardinal, Papa Benedetto said this in a letter: “The church teaches that abortion or euthanasia is a grave sin. There may be a legitimate diversity of opinion, even among Catholics, about waging war and applying the death penalty, but not, however, with regard to abortion and euthanasia.”

Given what Cardinal Arinze said about even a child preparing for 1st Communion knows these politicians shouldn't receive Communion.(You Don't Need A Cardinal to Tell You That!)

& given the way then head of the DC archdiocese, Cardinal McCarrick & current head, Archbishop Wuerl have both failed to stop the Pro-aborts from receiving communion, Sr. Mary Ann's comments ring all the hollower.

I am sure that the Papal advisors have done the best they can. But, as I said, I highly suspect that there are some who are setting up the Pope. & when it happens, through no fault of Pap Benedetto, the Main Stream Media will be jumping on it & running with it. With the help of some USCCB Judases. To those of you who are betraying the Pope, the Church & Christ, enjoy spending your 30 pieces of silver while you can. May God have mercy on your souls.
