Elizabeth Taylor - Violet Eyes to Die For

A true movie icon passed away today. Over the years she starred in a wide range of movies from comedy to drama. Sadly her talent was often overshadowed by her tumultuous lifestyle.

& while she played in many great roles (as well as some not so great), I have to admit that my favorite was when she costarred with her then husband Richard Burton in The Taming of the Shrew. Naturally she played Katharina to Burton's Petruchio.
