Ancient Israel or Modern America Pt.2

In my reading of Scripture it often seems like I am reading about what is going on today rather than 2-3000 years ago. Last year I put up 1 post about the similarities. & after reading Psalm 106 recently, I decided it was time to once more ask the question "Ancient Israel or Modern America?"

Here are verses 36-39: "They worshipped those nations' false gods, till they found themselves entrapped, and sacrificed their own sons and their daughters to demons.
Innocent blood they shed, the blood of their sons and daughters; offering them to the idols of Canaan, they polluted the country with blood.

They defiled themselves by such actions, their behaviour was that of a harlot."

So, is this ancient Israel where they offered their children up to demonic idols, or modern America where they offer their children up on the demonic "culture of death" altar of abortion?

Or both?

I think you know my answer, both. I have often talked about the demonic roots of the "culture of death" as well as how abortion has become a sacrament to the pro-abort gang. I am not the only 1 who has noticed this similarity between the ancient Molech worship & the modern abortion equivalent.

So it might serve as a warning to us to remember what God did in response to these actions.

"Yahweh's anger blazed out at his people, his own heritage filled him with disgust. He handed them over to the nations, and their opponents became their masters; their enemies lorded it over them, crushing them under their rule.
Time and again he rescued them, but they still defied him deliberately, and sank ever deeper in their guilt." (verses 40-43)

This is only 1 example of the fruit of Israel's defiance of God found in Psalm 106. It would be well for us to remember that if we don't repent, we will face a similar chastisement someday. Maybe very soon.
