Wholesome & UN Conference - Something You Don't See That Often These Days

Yesterday I put up a post about the UN's latest attempts at promoting the "culture of death". AS I said in the title after reading the story the gathering "Sounds More Like a Porno Dealers Convention Than a Youth Convention." In comparrison this one was relatively "wholesome", the key is relatively.
It still had the usual suspects that promote the "culture of death". It isn't surprizing to see the hypocricy of Marie Stopes & their unwillingness to give the other side a chance to present their side, even passively. On the other hand, the fact that PP, Stopes & the other pro-aborts didn't object to the "Human beings are a plague" presentation. Apparently they agree with that view of humanity. Remember, that is the view of the gunman who was killed the other day at the Discovery Channel HQ the other day. (Video: Pro-Life Group Recalls Eerie Run-In with Discovery Channel Gunman) Yes, what he did was horrible, butlet us not forget that PP & Stopes are guilty of killing a lot more people each day. & despite claims to the contrary, this has been a view of the mainstream environmental movement as well. (See "ENVIRONMENTALISTS DISCLAIM RESPONSIBILITY FOR POPULATION CONTROL HOSTAGE-TAKER" by Steven Mosher, President of the Population Research Institute, for more.)
I wonder if these envirnmentalists realize that they are describing themselves as evil & deserving of death? That is exactly what they are doing. & thus, if you following Peter Singer's philosophy, it is OK to kill them. You see where the "culture of death" philosophy leads? No one has any value. No one!!!! & thus no human being has any right to live, no one!!!! The next question then becomes, if we are all parasites, all a plague, then why is murder wrong? Why should anyone be prevented from killing anyone else? Why should I be prevented from killing Singer because I don't like his philosphy?
This is where we end up when we buy into the "culture of death" & turn our back on God. Natural law was given us by God because he made us all in His image & likeness & wants us to value & respect every human life, from that very 1st moment when the egg & sperm are joined, until the last breath. Ultimately all our problems, war, pollution etc are the result of sin, not because humans are a parisite. God made us to care for the earth as stewards. But if we don't value human life we truly don't value the environment or the rest of God's creation He made to reflect His glory.
& in the end what this is all about is an attack on God. When we attack human life we are attaccking God. Since man is an "icon" of God these people who promote the "culture of death" are the ultimate iconclasts. But what else to you expect from those who follow Satan's plan which is what the "culture of death" ultimately is? Remember, Satan tried to set himself up as God. & he still is, even though he knows he has lost the war when Jesus died on the cross. His arrogance & hatred blind him to the truth & until Jesus returns, he will continue to try to reign. But finally, even he will have to bend his knee to Jesus as Lord. (Phillipians 2:10, Romans 14:11)
I don't say this to discourage us. But to encourage us to continue in our efforts to proclaim the "Gospel of Life". our efforts must begin & end with prayer & with a total surrender to God's will so that He can use us & we don't depend on ourselves rather than Him.

MELBOURNE, September 3, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A UN conference hosted in Melbourne has received an unusually positive review from a prominent local pro-life advocate, who said the event was atypical for its lack of hostility to the unborn and the traditional family.
The United Nations Department of Public Information’s 63rd NGO conference in Melbourne, ponderously titled, “Advance Global Health and Achieve the Millennium Development Goals,” was “a comparatively wholesome affair with little of the undercurrent warfare of other feminist-dominated conferences,” said Babette Francis.
Francis, National and Overseas Co-ordinator of the life and family advocacy group Endeavour Forum and a veteran lobbyist at the UN, told LSN that the conference “concluded on a happy note for pro-lifers” with its “relatively non-controversial” final declaration. The declaration omits the UN’s nearly ubiquitous “gender agenda” and contained no mention of “sexual or reproductive rights” due to the Endeavour Forum delegates’ interventions.
Francis said, “The nearest the feminists got to their wish list was a recommendation for ‘The provision of equitable and effective health services for all people and communities, including the provision of effective health information programs’.”
Moreover, unlike most UN international conferences that feature the usual suspects of professional feminist and pro-abortion lobbyists, the Melbourne conference “appeared to be genuinely grass-roots affair.” Speakers included Sakena Yacoobi from Afghanistan, who hid secret schools for girls from the Taliban, and Catherine Hamlin, an Australian obstetrician who works at a hospital that provides free fistula repair surgery to poor women suffering from childbirth injuries in Ethiopia.
Francis said, however, that the “usual suspects” were in attendance, including International Planned Parenthood Federation, the United Nations Population Fund and the condom-pushing UNAIDS. Jo Wainer, widow of the late abortionist Dr. Bertram Wainer, presented an audio-visual program titled, “Human beings are a plague.” But the Endeavour Forum intervened with the UN Secretariat, saying that such negativity is “depressing and discouraging for all the cheerful youth delegates.”
Apart from these “sour notes,” she said, the representatives of about 350 NGOs and 1,600 conference participants from over 70 countries, were mostly from groups that are working on “useful projects in the Asia-Pacific region” and elsewhere.
At one point in the conference, Marie Stopes International (MSI), one of the world’s largest abortionist groups, objected to the Endeavour Forum’s display table that sported a poster bearing the caption “Vote for Life,” and demanded unsuccessfully that it be taken down.
“MSI were probably even more annoyed by our posters of babies at various stages of gestation, and the DVD we had playing continuously on the link between abortion and breast cancer,” Francis said.
