Well actually Michael Voris, S.T.B. who hosts The Vortex for
Real Catholic TV will be in DBQ on 11 September 2010 for the
6th Annual Spirit & Truth Conference. He will be giving 3 talks at the general sessions:
12 Catholic Myths, Catholics & Protestants &
How to Avoid Heresy by Living in Love. In addition he will give a Teen Talk:
Catholicism: More than Sunday Mass.
The conference will be held on Saturday, 11 September 2010 from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm at the Marie Graber Ballroom in the Alumni Campus Center, Loras College, Dubuque, Iowa. The cost is $28 for adults, $20 for religious & $15 for full time students. They are asking that you register by 5 Sept 2010. However, you can register the day of the event for an additional $10.

The conference is being held at Loras, but Loras is NOT sponsoring it, so as 1 of those who often has to answer the phone with questions about things we are only providing the site for, please don't call Loras, follow the link as I said.
& while the conference is not providing meals, there are 2 sites in the building where you can get a meal, the Cafe & the Pub.

I have said it before - I'm very pleased about the growing prominence that RCTV/Voris are getting these days.

Valid assumption. I am definitely planning on it, assuming I get the weekend of since I normally work weekends.
The only concern that some of those involved in putting it on have is how well known he is arround here. My positive reaction when I found out was encouraging.
I am sure there are a few people in the Chancery who aren't too thrilled though.

When I posted one of Voris' videos a few months ago, the great LarryD (Acts of the Apostasy) commented that Voris was a guest speaker for his parish's mens group a few years back, and that their was opposition from the Chancery.

Given that he lives in the Detroit Archdiocese, I am sure he hasn't done much since then to make them any happier, or their opposition any less.
