All We Are Saying IS "basta all'intolleranza contro Benedetto XVI"*

5 years ago the attacks by the liberal/progressives on Papa Benedetto included claiming that he would never have the raport with the youth that Pope John Paul II did. The reaction at the World Youth Day that year quickly disabused that idea. & 5 years later it is clear that Catholic Youth still love il Papa. & are ready to stand up (or sit-in as the case may be) & defend him.
The recent attacks on Papa Benedetto are having just the opposite effect from the 1 his enemies have hoped them to have. Instead of driving a wedge between the Pope & faithful Catholics it is causing us to stand up & speak even louder in defense of the Vicar of Christ who is successor to St. Peter. The only people going along with the media attack are those who didn't want him elected in the 1st place & haven't listened to what he said, except to take things out of context when it suited their agenda.
Sadly, their hatred of God & the Church Jesus founded 2000 years ago is so great that they don't see what they are doing with their ongoing persecution. Just like the persecutions in the past only strengthened the Church, so too this attack will only serve to help purify & make the Church stronger, not destroy it as they hope.

Christian Youth association organizing sit-ins to support Pope

Rome, Italy, Apr 8, 2010 / 10:58 am (CNA/EWTN News).- Italy's Gioventu Cristiana (Christian Youth) association is organizing a national demonstration in major cities across the country "to say 'enough' to the intolerance against Benedict XVI." The group is making use of social networks to spread the word and provide a voice.
Young people from every corner of Italy are being called to stage "sit-ins" in support of the Pope in the nation's biggest city squares, including those of Rome, Milan, Turin, Venice and Naples.
Planned for Sunday, April 18, the demonstration aims to make a display of the "closeness" of youth to the Holy Father.
"Although we're not an ecclesial movement but a simple association," said national director Pietro Serra, "we find it opportune to make our voice of youth and, moreso, (our voice) as lay faithful heard.
"For this, coinciding with the fifth anniversary of the (Pope's) election to the pontifical throne, we have decided to promote a series of initiatives on a national scale so that 'enough' might be said once and for all to the rampant 'Popaphobia,'" added Serra.
Two days after sending out thousands of emails inviting participation, developing a new branch of their website for the cause and launching an invitation on Facebook, the sit-in effort is quickly nearing 1,000 planned participants.
