More Proof Obama Lied to Papa Benedtto About His Administration Working to Reduce the Number of Abortions
If, as 1 top Obama staffer admitted, the goal of the office and its eventual plan is not to reduce abortions but to reduced the "need" for them then why does this plan fail to include any proposals on reducing abortions or helping pregnant women find abortion alternatives? Maybe because they don't intend to reduce the need for them in the 1st place since they know that that would have the effect of reducing the number as well. & since the Obama administration is beholding to the abortion industry it isn't going to do anything to reduce that number because it would cut into the industry's profits.
So, am I shocked or surprized? NO! I would have been surprized had they actually come up with something that would reduce the number of abortions. & IMHO the council should be renamed anti-Faith.

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- The White House Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships presented its policy recommendations to President Barack Obama. The plan failed to include any proposals on reducing abortions or helping pregnant women find abortion alternatives.
Obama appointed 25 prominent religious and community leaders 13 months ago to the panel charged with providing him with faith-based policy suggestions.
Though the group includes some like Jim Wallis of Sojourners who claim to be pro-life it also included pro-abortion activist Rabbi David Saperstein of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism.
Ashley Horne, federal issues analyst with Focus on the Family Action, said the Obama panel missed an opportunity to present him with concrete ideas on reducing abortions.
"The president said he wanted to reduce the need for abortions," she said. "So, that topic would have been a natural fit for this group. It's one more strike against a president who, so far, has catered only to the pro-abortion agenda."
CBN White House Correspondent David Brody suggests the faith-based group did not suggest abortion reduction plans because it has turned over responsibility for them to the Domestic Policy Council, headed by abortion advocate Melody Barnes.
"This council, in essence, basically punted the abortion question down the road," he said. This council did have the discussion on abortions. It's just that they felt they needed to push that off a little bit more to the Domestic Policy Council."
One participant on the council told Brody about that passing the buck.
"That was never a part of the Council's mandate; it's always been clear that that work is led by the Domestic Policy Council. Council members have participated in the DPC's discussions on abortion though. I know that that work is continuing," the unnamed member said.
Last month, Joshua DuBois, the director of the office, sought to reassure pro-life advocates that a plan is forthcoming.
"It’s very much a priority of the President to find common ground on this difficult issue," DuBois told Brody.
He said his office, "along with the Domestic Policy Council in which we sit and The White House council on Women and Girls met with a range of organizations are now pulling together a lot of information to present to the President so that he can eventually talk about where the administration will go in this important area so that’s still very much on the table."
"Again, where one of the things where unfortunately the facts didn't get in the way of a theory but we're going to keep doing our work," DuBois told CBN's Brody.
Asked to give a timeframe on when a plan on how to reduce abortions would be produced, DuBois offered no answer other than to say it wouldn't be a lengthy effort.
"It’s certainly not a multi-year effort. It’s something that we're looking at much sooner than that," he said.
The faith office last held a meeting in May to discuss how to reduce abortions and promote adoption, and that meeting produced significant skepticism from pro-life advocates that the Obama administration was serious about reducing abortions.

From sending taxpayer funds to groups to promote and perform abortions overseas and pledging to overturn conscience clause protections for pro-life medical professionals to forcing taxpayers to pay for embryonic stem cell research and stacking his staff with abortion advocates, Obama's pro-abortion record seems clear to most.
His strong support for a Senate health care bill that funded potentially hundreds of thousands of abortions sealed the deal on his pro-abortion record and reputation for most pro-life Americans.
