I recently came across the following link to an article on the magazine's website that basicly proves they have sold out true science for what is the latest PC cause. & of course the biggest defense for this denial of the facts is the "Scientific Consensus" that alledgedly exists & is there in any form only because any dissent is shut down.
Scientists Respond to "Climategate" E-Mail ControversyWhat this is all about is a political agenda. It isn't about getting at the truth, it is about promoting the "culture of death". It is about promoting birth control, eugenics & abortion under the guise of saving the planet. Time after time you will see the call for fewer births, esp in 3rd world countries go hand in hand with the need to protect the environment from global warming.
I am all for being a good steward of the environment. That is my moral obligation as a Catholic. But this goes way beyond that to trying to stamp out humans who don't fit into what the culturally elite see as fit to live. It is about their creating a world where they can hog all they want while making the rest of us do without. A prime example is Algore with his phony carbon credits that allow him to be 1 of the largest energy hogs & make money while telling the rest of us to sacrifice.
Finally, as has been pointed out many places, follow the money. Again, Algore & his carbon credits from a company he owns is a prime example. There is an Italiano word for what many of these scientists are that sell the facts out for the money they can get to produce PC results, PUTANA!!!
& in an interesting coincidence the SciAm webpage has several ads for Shell Oil, the same Shell Oil that the Climatic Research Unit at the heart of the
ClimateGate scandal sought funds from in the year 2000. They also hit up ExxonMobil (dba Esso, the original name of Exxon, in the UK) & BP Amoco. (
ClimateGate Research Unit Sought Funds From Shell Oil) So much for the claim that the anti-global warming gang is just shilling for big oil.
I can't wait for further developments. It is getting far beyond the egg on the face to a full blown omelet.
___________
Unlike Scientific America, the UK Weather Service, aka The Met Office, plans to re-examine 160 years of temperature data after admitting that public confidence in the science on man-made global warming has been shattered by leaked e-mails. Doesn't exactly sound like the scientific consensus is so consensus any more. Since CRU supplied all the land temperature data to the Met Office this sounds like the right thing for them to do. The review will take 3 years to complete. It will be interesting to see how many other countries have the courage to follow their lead.
It will also be interested to see how loud Algore et al scream to push ahead despite the truth getting out. Every day he is looking more & more like a real life version of this scene from South Park:

It isn't only me that is noticing this trend. Last week the Wall Street Journal had the following article: Climategate: Science Is Dying. Sad, but true.
