St. George Killed Dragons, Not Unborn Children

Just as I predicted several months ago, the attempts to make over George Tiller from a murderer of unborn children into a martyr for abortion by the abortion industry is going on.
Over the weekend of 26 September 2009 International Planned Parenthood Federation posthumously gave its top honor to Tiller at their Western Hemisphere meeting. As LifeSiteNews reports: "The award was presented in a Washington, D.C. ceremony by Alexander Sanger, grandson of Planned Parenthood's eugenicist founder Margaret Sanger."* His widow, Jeanne Tiller, received the group's Medal of Honor for "outstanding individual contribution to sexual and reproductive health" on his behalf.
After lavishly praising Tiller as a hero & a saint, Alexander Sanger went on to say: "He kept his clinic doors open to give a choice to women who never imagined they would ever need it — women with a wanted pregnancy that had gone terribly awry as it progressed."
What is he talking about when he uses the term "terribly awry"? It sure can't be medical as there would be no need for an abortionist if it were. The only thing I can think of is that he considers "awry" as inconvenient or the other situations that pregnancy centers exist to deal with so a woman won't have to have an abortion. In short, Sanger is following in his grannie's footsteps in trying to make murdering certain unwanted classes of people into something heroic, which it isn't.
But given how Tiller promoted his late term abortions, that shouldn't be surprizing. As LSN reminds us: "As advertised on his web site, Tiller was prepared to offer several services for such parents following the killing of their 'wanted' child in a eugenic abortion. These included mementos such as a lock of the child's hair or 'fetal footprints,' 'memorial services' conducted by a staff chaplain, and even baptisms of the baby's remains.
The clinic also gave parents a chance to bond with the child's corpse following the abortion, in a bizarre process Tiller described in a 1996 promotional video as an 'identification and separation encounter.' Tiller said the staff would bring the child's body to the parents, where they would be told 'what's right with your baby' and 'what's wrong with your baby,' and encouraged to comprehend that 'this is your baby and you have had a delivery.'
"
Sick, calling the murder of a baby the equivalent of a delivery is a lie straight out of hell. All Tiller was doing was giving people an opportunity to try to deny the truth to avoid the guilt, spiritual & emotional.
As Operation Rescue President Troy Newman told the Eagle: "He's become St. George to the abortion movement now because he was martyred to their cause." Newman is right, they are trying to turn him into another St. George. there are some huge problems with the abortion industry's attempts to do this though, the facts.
1. St. George was a faithful Catholic who upheld all of the Catholic Church's teachings & would have been appalled at their seeing Tiller as being like him. (I should say he is, because I am sure he is aware of what is going on & is crying out in intecessory prayer for an end to abortion.)
2. St. George fought evil. The story of the dragon is symbolic of his fighting the devil, Satan, who is depicted in Scripture as a dragon at times & other demons. PP & the abortion industry are a part of the "culture of death" that is demonic in its origin. If St. George were on Earth today he would be out there fighting against abortion & people like Tiller.
3. St George was martyred for serving God. Tiller defied God. He was killed by a wacko who's actions were soundly decried by the Pro-life movement. Unlike the pro-abortion movement who has been silent when pro-lifers are killed.
In the short run, the abortion industry may suceed in selling to some the idea that Tiller was a saint, a hero, a martyr. But in the end, we will all have to stand in judgement before God. & then the truth will come out. What Tiller did was wrong, what PP does in wrong, abortion is murder & against God's law. & if those who promote & do abortions do not authenticly repent, God will have no chose but to give them what they asked for, eternity in Hell where their agenda originated in the 1st place.
*The Wichita paper described Margaret Sanger a little bit differently: "a nurse who crusaded for women's access to birth control in the early 20th century and co-founded Planned Parenthood." You will note that they fail to acknowledge her racist agenda or any of her pro-eugenics, Pro-Hitler past.
