Planned Parenthood Offers Fear, Crisis Pregnancy Centers Offer Hope

To hear Planned Parenthood talk, they are the only true alternative for a woman in a crisis pregnancy. They claim on their website that "so-called "crisis pregnancy centers." . . . "are fake clinics run by people who are anti-abortion. They have a history of giving women wrong, biased information to scare them into not having abortions. "

"These centers
-may not give you complete and correct information about all your options — abortion, adoption, and parenting
-may try to frighten you with misleading films and pictures to keep you from choosing abortion
-may lie to you about the medical and emotional effects of abortion
-may tell you that you are not pregnant even if you are. This may fool you into continuing your pregnancy without knowing it. If your decision is delayed, it could make abortion more risky. It could also keep you from getting early prenatal care.
-may discourage you from using certain methods of birth control that are very safe and effective"

" Crisis pregnancy centers often pretend to be real health care providers — but many are not. These fake clinics often trick women with false advertising. They may make women think they will be offered unbiased information and a full range of health services. "

I could go on but won't. But I will say that it sounds to me like PP is the one using the scare tactic. & they are the ones using lies to slander the true pregnancy centers. PP takes what goes on in these centers & using lies & half-truths makes it sound like they are on the side of the angels when they are on the side of the angel of death. I will grant that they got 1 thing right. the centers they attack are against abortion. But again they omit why, because these centers are Pro-Life & PP is anything but. & because they are Pro-life, they will offer the real facts about abortion, not the lies that PP offers.

They also say that "All real family planning clinics will give you information about all your options." What they fail to mention is that it is PP that doesn't give the true info.

Let's start with what Melinda Delahoyde, president of Care Net rightly terms a bizzare accusation: “[They] may try to frighten you with misleading films and pictures to keep you from choosing abortion.”

As she comments: "Only in the world of Planned Parenthood could ultrasound or sonogram pictures be considered 'misleading'.”

PP knows that women who see a sonogram of the unborn child are more likely to chose life over killing the unborn child. The fact is "After seeing their baby via ultrasound, nearly 90% of women choose life." (Source: Informed Choice of Iowa (Iowa City, IA) )

As for the claim of unbiased, PP is actively promoting abortion, so how unbiased are they? They aren't. They promote abortion with only lip service to the other alternatives. (Check their own data, it shows what they really promote.)

As for the claim that Crisis Pregnancy Centers don't offer a range of services lets look at what some of the services offered at these centers.

The Pregnancy Center is not a medical facility and we are not legally qualified to diagnose whether or not a client is pregnant. Only a licensed physician is qualified to confirm the pregnancy test result regardless of the outcome: positive, negative, or inconclusive. "

Finally, let's look at Birthright International. They offer:

Sounds to me that it is the Crisis Centers not PP that offers the real alternatives.

Another bit of info these centers give out that PP tries to deny exists is what emotional & psychological damage abortion does. & unlike these centers PP will definitely not help a woman or man who has been hurt by abortion. Nor will PP provide services for a woman who wants to keep the baby.

In the end, it is PP that offers fear & lies, not Crisis Pregnancy Centers. These centers offer hope! They don't prey on fear & dispair like PP does. Nor do they use scare tactics, but PP does. PP fears that people will find out these centers offer the truth that they don't. They know that when the truth is out there people won't have abortions, PP won't get the money from killing the child. & the effect that will have on their profits is what they fear most, not God, but the bottom line.

Again, it is these Crisis Pregnancy Centers that offer hope, that offer life. All PP can offer is death.

I have to add 1 last comment as a reminder. PP gets a huge amount of its money from our taxes. (Although as the truth is getting out thanks to people like Lila Rose, some or all on a state level is being taken away.) They places usually get none, or very little if they do. They need our financial support so they can continue to offer women the true alternatives to abortion. These centers are the proof that Pro-life is much more than merely stopping abortion. They show that Pro-lifers care about everyone, mother, father & child. So if you have a local center, please consider donating to them. they need funds, but often can use volunteers as well. If there isn't a local 1 nearby then consider donating to 1 of those I mentioned, the others I have listed in the right column or many others arround the country, local or a part of a larger group, that exist.
