Yesterday (2 April) I got a fundraising letter from the Salesians. The letter was about an urgent need for funds. Why? As the letter says: "we did not receive the usual funding from the United Stated Department of Agriculture due to cutbacks & reassignment of government monies to other purposes." (emphasis mine)
The purpose of this post is not to argue whether the government should be involved or not in giving money to charitable organizations. The point is where they are cutting back & where they are expanding (reassigning) the monies.
They are cutting back funding for a Salesian program in Cambodia that feeds & educates the children there. So much for compassion & helping this children to have a better life. Let them starve to death if they can't get the food. We need to money to fund programs from Planned Parenthood & Marie Stopes as well as things like the UNFPA to promote abortion & birth control in these 3rd world countries. Remember, by overturning the Mexico Coty Policy & other restrictions, money can now be spent to promote abortion that wasn't spent before.
So where do we get the money to expand & increase the number of abortions?, by cutting back the funding for Catholic Organizations that care for the poor in these countries. We won't feed them, but we will promote killing them before they are born so that in the future there will be less of them left to not feed.
Margaret Sanger with her racist views would be proud to see them becoming government policy. She opposed charitable organizations & the work they did. Her book, "The Pivot of Civilization", has a chapter called "The Cruelty of Charity. "In this same book she argued that organized attempts to help the poor were the "surest sign that our civilization has bred, is breeding, and is perpetuating . . . defectives, delinquents, and dependents. "
"
In 1932, it [the Birth Control Review] outlined Margaret's 'Plan for Peace,' calling for coercive sterilization, mandatory segregation, and rehabilitative concentration camps for all 'disgenic stocks.' In 1933, the Birth Control Review published 'Eugenic Sterilization: An Urgent Need' by Ernst Rudin, who was Hitler's director of genetic sterilization and a founder of the Nazi Society for Racial Hygiene. And later that same year, it published an article by Leon Whitney entitled, 'Selective Sterilization,' which adamantly praised and defended the Third Reich's racial programs."(
Planned Parenthood's Racism)
Like I said, eliminating charity & the elimination of what she called "human weeds" was her aim. It is now US government policy. If she were alive, Sanger would be proud of this fact. Us Americans should be ashamed instead.
