Abortion Industry Bailout Part 2

Friday Obama handed the abortion industry a huge plum with his overturning of the "Mexico City Policy". & the question began going arround about what the next step in aiding the abortion industry (Planned Parenthood, Marie Stopes, etc) would be. That night I had the answer when House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) announced that the Democratic Economic Stimulus Package included funding for condoms.

"There it is!", I said.

According to John Boehner the package: "expanded federal funding of contraceptives through Medicaid for those who aren’t even poor." (Congressional Democrats' "Stimulus" Bill Includes Taxpayer Funding for Contraceptives, Abortion Industry)

How? "A Clinton-era program allows states to seek a waiver to offer Medicaid “family planning” services – even for those who are not poor enough to qualify for Medicaid. If they seek the waiver, the federal government matches the state funding with $9 for every $1.

Yesterday, during consideration of the congressional Democrats’ spending bill by the House Energy & Commerce Committee, the panel eliminated the waiver requirement. The result? All 50 states will now offer Medicaid “family planning” services (including contraception) with the federal government offering the same $9 to $1 match (pages 231-240)."

I'll avoid all the obvious puns that could be made. But it didn't surprize me to see the roots of this had the last Pro-abort President's fingerprints all over it. & the only group it will help is the abortion industry. It will do so in 2 ways.

1) They will be the recepients of the money to provide the various contraceptives. & I am sure that they will overcharge the government just as the have done in the past. & like what happenned in California, if they do get caught, the law will be changed.

2) When they fail & they will, (remember Consumer Reports unfavorable rating of PPs condoms) then they know many of them will come back for an abortion. Paid for by our tax dollars.

What is even more disgusting is how the Dems claim this will help the economy by reducing "costs to the states and to the federal government." Here are the specifics:
STEPHANOPOULOS: Hundreds of millions of dollars to expand family planning services. How is that stimulus?

PELOSI: Well, the family planning services reduce cost. They reduce cost. The states are in terrible fiscal budget crises now and part of what we do for children's health, education and some of those elements are to help the states meet their financial needs. One of those - one of the initiatives you mentioned, the contraception, will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government.

STEPHANOPOULOS: So no apologies for that?

PELOSI: No apologies. No. we have to deal with the consequences of the downturn in our economy.

While I suspect Stephie's question is a set up & not a serious concern about the costs, it does show the twisted mentality of the Dems & the whole "Culture of Death". In plain English what Pelosi said was: "We are spending money to save money. With this money we are helping to kill people via the Pill & abortion, etc. Killing those people will reduce the number of people we have to spend money on." That is what they are saying but won't admit. Never mind that in the long run less people means less spending. & more taxes paid by those who still live leaving them even less to spend. How does that help the economy which is fueled by spending?

Other that for PP et al, it doesn't. This is just more payback to an industry that thrives on murder & covering up crimes like rape & incest as well as promoting eugenics. It also shows how much the Democratic Party is in bed with the "culture of death" for welcoming the initial help from them & then providing this payback.

Next Up: Unlimited funding for embryonic stem-cell research. Again under the guise of compassion. The same thing the Nazis claimed for justifying what they did in their experiments on Jews & others in the death camps.

I won't tear into Pelosi's latest proof she is anything but a real Catholic, Cavey did a good job of that in his post I used as a source. All I will say is that Archbishop Niederauer (Archdiocese of San Francisco) better start showing a little leadership & call her on the carpet. His inaction is just adding to the scandal of her actions.
