St. Irenaeus of Lyons - His Book Review of The Gospel of Judas

"They produce a fictitious history of this kind, which they style the Gospel of Judas." Adversus Haereses (Against Heresies) Book I, Chapter XXXI, Par. 1
With all the interest in recent months for the so-called Gospel of Judas I thought that it would be important to see what someone who was arround when it was written had to say about it. St. Irenaeus of Lyons was a disciple of St. Polycarp who was a disciple of St. John the Evangelist. Pretty good pedegree if I say so.
I heard about this quote while watching Living His Life Abundantly. Johnette Benkovic had Fr. Mitch Pacwa on to talk about gnosticism & in particular the Gospel of Judas & the Gospel of Thomas.
