Veni, Vidi, But Who Really Vicied?

OK, maybe Steven Colbert does go a little overboard, but that is besides the point. I am definitely going to definitely have to read this book as it sounds like the author hits on something I have been wondering about lately, "Is the USA heading the same way that Rome did?" I think so given the way we have our version of "bread & circuses", our killing the young, persecution of Christians, etc. & from this interview, it seems I may be right. It will be interesting to see what Cullen Murphy has to say in depth.
