News Flash: Despite What Planned Parenthood Says America is NOT as pro-abortion as they claim!
A new poll by CBS News that is sure to be downplayed as flawed or ignored by the pro-murder abortion supporters like Planned Parenthood & NOW (National Orginization of Women) has just come out showing that the majority of Americans want abortion severely limited or banned completely.
According to a report on LifeNews.com's website the CBS poll found that "47 percent of Americans want to prohibit all or most abortions and 16 percent want them to be greatly restricted.
About 30 percent of those polled want to limit abortions to the very rare cases of rape, incest or life of the mother and another 12 percent want abortions allowed only in when the pregnancy threatens the mother's life. Another 5 percent said abortions should always be illegal.
Just 31 percent of the public wants to permit abortion in all cases."
The poll was taken from 18-21 January 2007 & was close to the results of a Jan 2006 poll. That poll showed that "51 percent want all or most abortions illegal and just 29 percent wanting them allowed in all cases."
While it may seem that the numbers have taken a step back from a year ago, it isn't as bad as it looks. The margin of error is + or - 3% for both polls. & there are other factors that could affect the results.
The plain facts are that despite what the pro-abortion side claims, this country does not support the unlimited access to abortion that they espouse. Not even 1/3 of the country wants it always allowed. & almost 2/3 of the polulation wants at least some limits upto a complete ban. It also shows that we who are pro-life still have a long way to go in getting people to see & understand the truth about why abortion is wrong.
